About SWMS - Solid Waste Management System

We provide a complete IoT (Internet of Things) based system, through which the process of tracking, collecting, and managing the solid waste can be easily automated and monitored efficiently. We have formulated overall system architecture and protocol stack to give an IoT based solution to improve the reliability and efficiency of the solid waste management system.

IoT can be applied both in ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) and Smart cities forming an advanced platform for novel applications. Specifically, IoT components: (i) NFC/RFIDs, (ii) sensors, (iii) GPS Tracker, and (iv) Load cell are incorporated into ITS for efficient waste collection.

By making use of sensors, we collect data from various Garbage bins, Door to door, Service Vehicle and send them to a gateway using latest technology. These data are collected by the gateway and sent to the cloud over the Internet. The main advantage of the proposed system is the use of latest technology for data communication.

The implementation of our wireless solid waste management solution allows respective urban local authorities (Municipal corporations, Municipality, etc.) to monitor status of garbage collection remotely over web server and keep cities clean very efficiently by optimizing cost and time required for it. As soon as waste management department gets alert via our IoT solution, department can send waste collector vehicle to respective location to collect garbage. Our solid waste management solution aims to provide high quality of service to the residents of a city.
